Blatha an Oir is proud to provide its membership with a variety of ways to get involved. Below you will find information about many of our regular meetings and practices, as well as whom to contact with your questions about these events.
Baronial Business Meeting
What:
A monthly meeting to handle baronial business, plan events, etc.
When:
The Third Thursday of every month.
Time:
7:00 PM

Online only. The link will be posted on the day of the meeting in the “Barony of Blatha an Oir Populace” page on Facebook. You may also email blathaanoir.seneschal@antir.org for the link.

First Thorsday Social
What:
A general social meeting of all the people within the Barony of Blatha an Oir, and their friends.

The First Thursday of every month.

Heavy Armored Fight Practice
What:
A weekly practice for our Heavy Armored fighters to hone their combat skills.
Winter Schedule: October – May on Tuesdays at 6 pm (Note: there is usually a break for the holidays in December)
Summer Schedule: June– September on Tuesdays at 6 pm

Loaner Armor
A lot of effort can go into getting armor together, and we understand that. To that end, loaner armor for new fighters is available for your use. If you are interested in using the loaner armor, please contact Tullia Eleonora Domenichi d'Aragona at 206-491-9007.
You must call or email at least 24 hours before practice to make sure the armor will be brought to practice for you to use. No calls after 8pm.

Rapier practice is held along with heavy practice. See above for places & times.

Archery and Thrown Weapons Practice
What: An archery and thrown weapons practice to learn and hone your skills. Need to borrow equipment? We have everything except crossbows. Please make sure to contact Phydeaux at least two days in advance if you need to borrow equipment.
When: Sundays at 10 am.

Arts and Sciences Gatherings
Sewing Night
What:
Sewing Nights are open to all types of projects and skill/experience
There is a good-sized library of resource books, patterns, and tools, some machines available to use (first come, first serve for those). Additional hands and eyes for fitting, marking hems, or collaborating to help with getting a project started or into the finished state can really help keep a project going. “What’s better than perfect? Done!”
Projects do NOT need to be SCA-focused, either. We’ll cheerfully help you focus on mending, alterations, costuming, and other creative concepts.

Culinary Night
What:
Culinary Guild Meetings allow for those interested in developing their period culinary skills to meet. Each month has a different theme to focus on, and while bringing something to share, or help make on site is encouraged, so is attending to help eat all of the tasty food! Culinary Night is co-hosted by Sebastien de Caen, Raffaella di Contino, and Angharat verch Reynulf.

What:
